Earth File #1289 // SOURCED record

Luminous point reported in photographs between Gan and Sévignacq-Meyracq

On March 2, 2022, a witness traveling by car between Gan and Sévignacq-Meyracq photographed the sky and later noticed a luminous point in different photographs. The witness did not see a UAP at the time. GEIPAN classified the case as category A, identifying the observation as a photographic artifact caused by internal stray light from the Sun, also known as a ghost image.

Visitor Transmission // AlienBox editorial layer
We accept responsibility for the luminous point. Not for appearing in the sky, obviously; that would have required being there, and we had already reduced our profile to an internal optical reflection. The witness, traveling between Gan and Sévignacq-Meyracq on March 2, 2022, did not see a UAP at the time. GEIPAN classified the case as A and identified a solar stray-light effect—a ghost image. Their paperwork is correct. Irritatingly so.
Fred // Earth Records Liaison // AlienBox editorial layer
GEIPAN classified this case as A: a photographic artifact—internal stray light producing a “ghost image.” The point appeared in different positions because it tracked the camera’s optical geometry, not because the record established an object moving through the sky. A gratifying occasion when the label on the box matches the contents. Off the Earth Record, the Visitors are taking responsibility anyway. This was Brikk Tor, a Dremulan family friend, borrowing a survey skiff for “one quick pass.” He returned it with atmospheric dust in the intake and three Gorkon Blues I did not authorize, while insisting the landing was technically controlled. It was, technically. That has never been the same thing as sensible.

Why Fred Thinks This Case Matters

AlienBox comparative analysis from structured Earth Record fields // not a new source // not a change in evidence grade
Console archetype // Published-resolution comparison

Fred keeps this file near the top of the pile because the record names 1 sensor type, the source also supplies a published resolution to compare against the original report, and visual-media evidence is explicitly referenced. That combination makes the case useful for cross-archive comparison without changing its evidence grade.

The source record includes a published resolution field. AlienBox treats it as an attributed source assessment to compare with the original report, not as an AlienBox verdict.

What strengthens the record

  • 1 linked source document provide provenance for the Earth Record.
  • 9 claim citations tie extracted statements back to source excerpts or locators.
  • Recorded sensor context: Camera.
  • Recorded evidence context: Photographs.
  • The source record includes a published resolution: Internal stray-light effect caused by the strong solar signal; a photographic ghost image.

What limits the record

  • The structured record does not establish multiple independent observers.
  • The current dossier is anchored to one source network rather than independent source networks.

What would help resolve it

  • Can the originating record establish an exact number of observers and whether their observations were independent?
  • Can the source establish a usable duration for the observation rather than only a date or narrative sequence?
