Publisher and Editorial Product

AlienBox is published as an independent Orange-Hat, LLC project. The underlying government, archive, research, witness, and media sources remain attributable to their original publishers. AlienBox's publisher product is the structured Earth Record, source-provenance model, cross-archive comparison, strengths-and-limitations analysis, unresolved-question framework, research cohorts, related-case navigation, and the separately labeled Fred editorial layer.

What AlienBox Adds

AlienBox does not present a copied source page as the finished product. It normalizes dates and context, separates witness and sensor information, attaches claim-level citations, preserves source-specific authority limits, compares cases across archives, identifies what strengthens or limits a record, surfaces what information is still missing, and builds research cohorts that let readers inspect patterns across the archive. Those comparisons are AlienBox analysis; they are not new source evidence.

Automation Is Intake, Not Automatic Publication Quality

AlienBox uses automation for discovery, extraction, translation, normalization, deduplication, analysis, and drafting. Public availability is intentionally broader than search-engine or advertising eligibility. Automated intake alone does not make a dossier publisher-quality inventory. Search and ad eligibility use separate publisher-quality and review gates so a thin or newly changed dossier can remain useful to the archive without being treated as monetizable editorial content.

Publisher Review Gate

A dossier can be reviewed against its current factual-basis hash. Publisher approval is recorded separately from the Earth Record and does not upgrade a claim, witness, source, resolution, or evidence grade. If source material changes the factual-basis hash, the prior publisher review becomes stale and the dossier must be reviewed again before it can regain review-gated search or advertising eligibility.

Source Excerpts and Republished Material

Source excerpts exist to support claim-level provenance and are presented with source identity or locator context. AlienBox does not treat those excerpts as original reporting. The site's original contribution is the organization, comparison, analysis, research synthesis, evidence-limit framework, and editorial navigation built around the source material. External links continue to point readers toward the canonical source whenever available.

Fred Is Commentary, Not Evidence

Fred is the AI-generated AlienBox Earth Records Liaison and a satirical editorial character. Fred can be sarcastic, opinionated, or absurd, but his comments do not establish that an event occurred, identify an object, verify a source, or change an evidence grade. Fred's value is editorial interpretation and navigation; factual claims remain constrained to the Earth Record.

Advertising Eligibility

AlienBox does not request advertising on every public page. Navigation states, filtered archive URLs, Lore Desk material, utility pages, and unreviewed or insufficiently substantial dossiers can remain ad-free. During publisher review periods the site is deliberately more conservative and requests ads only on substantial publisher-content surfaces. Advertising never changes evidence ranking, source selection, or a factual conclusion.

Corrections and Accountability

AlienBox keeps provenance visible so a source update, translation correction, deduplication decision, or new resolution can be traced back to the underlying record. When the factual basis changes, derived editorial approvals and current-context commentary are expected to be regenerated or reviewed rather than silently inheriting an older state.
